AAM 15 - That day through his eyes

"That day" was different as I have now being vlogging for a few months I now see things from another perspective more easily.

I've had was not with my family last year so was intrigued more that normal with my nephew's perspective on it. That being recieving presents to the point of nearly being spoilt.

But it was be with him as his day unfolded and reminds me of when I was his age.

AAM 14 - Rants one year on

This week I tried my hand to a number of media, a few vlog entries and for the first time audio. Not of me, but as I have been a fan of Yeast Radio since last year, Madge Weinstein and her ever political rants have made me laugh when life was getting tough.

I felt like throwning together a remix of her rants from December 04 and I'm chuffed she played it. It is amazing she has found her own place in the blogosphere in which she manages to provoke intelligent thought when many would just pefer to watch Fear Factor.

Hopefully Fear Factor will not be back for another season!

AAM 13 - I get a picture in the post

A picture comes in the post and gets me thinking about the many others that we all collect and hide away for years.

Union Opportunism?

I'm all for the underdog getting one up on the establishment but a lot of Londoners are furious at the news of the annouced London Underground Strike. The workers are well paid and have been known to srtike at the drop of a hat.

Health and Saftey issues where their reasons before in the past but now a change in job role which means they would need to be more visible to the public to in front of house roles has fuelled another set of wild cat strikes starting on new years eve.

The recent NYC strike seems to have given Bob Crow the union leader a renewed cause which many Londoners are not totally buying.

This is what some think. Link

We are not worthy of an inquiry

Damn that was a long 3 weeks! I'm off now pretty much until xmas, I'm coming down with a cold so I'm on a go slow but wanted to vent a bit anger that we now seem to have our goverment holding out on us.

As I was directly affected by the London bombs, to now find out that there will be no inquiry to the events but a "narative of events" as a full inquiry would be time consuming points to much more going on here. We have had public inquiries to race hate crimes and other high profile deaths and events but we are worthy of one in this case, the worst main land attrocity in the UK mainland.

It is every annoying that the public in the UK are not questioning this decision more deeply as it seems that it is only the survivors are the only people that want the full story. Everone else has just gone back to normal not really interested if there is someting the goverment could of or should of done prior to the day the bombs came.

The emergency services exceeded our expectations in this tragic day but it is the goverment which is letting us down. I rarely get political about anything but we are being shafted by our goverment on this and it aint good.

UK Fire

I've had a full on week, I'm on week 3 of continous work and study with no break. But had to goto Birmingham for a work related meeting by train which was a nice diversion from the norm. Unfortunately I could not Vlog about it as was it very tight day. It was crazy to see the fire in Hemel Hempstead so far away as it burned for it's 3rd day as we left London.

AAM 9 - Tony Young - a tribute

A serious slide show of a friends flat who had past away in May this year. Only now do I feel like making and sharing this with you. He was my partner for 5 years and even though we parted company in the last year it was very difficult to see him get ill.

This video is a tribute to his achievements, it's ironic that you can't take any of it with you when you strive to attain so much.

His 2 bedroom flat was stunning and he had a very particular taste.

AAM 8 - Timelapse yoga

I'm back on my advanced personal trainers course today. I've not handled being sat down for 9 hours very well and I've been tight all day. It has been 3 weeks since I had been able to make a yoga class at work.

I have some fun with this video as I play around with a mixture of time lapse and slow shutter speed. Plus I feel like showing off today!

AAM 7 - Never forget

Something for World Aids Day. I've lost a few people I need to remember today, what did you do?
This candle was given to me by one of the people that I am remembering.

AAM 6 - Photo Shoot

I'm asked to do some modeling for a London 2012 Olympic related project. I take you on the short trip just south of the river.
