AAM 68 - A perfect day

A perfect Sunday, all the chores are done the sun is out but not too hot. A cool breeze occasionally blows and everyone seems ultra relaxed.

Join me on the Southbank. It's been through a lot of change lately but as they say 'somethings never change'.

[Warning - file size 330mb but it's worth it!]

What a relaxing film. Definitely worth the download and the bigger screen size shows more. Your love of the city really comes across. I only lived in London for a total of nine months but I miss it. In '92 I worked as a features editor for a company on the South Bank. In those days the area wasn't trendy. The OXO Tower was dilapidated etc. The company was so worried that the staff would feel they were missing out that they put on a bus every lunch time to take us all to Covent Garden! But, in fact, I liked the South Bank, I would spend lunchtimes going to the street market at The Cut (is that still there?), to the cycle shop to get stuff for my mountain bike and the bookshop, and also hunting down some locations from the 1960's documentary 'The London That Nobody Knows'. 1992 was another very hot summer. I remember the sun buring my head as soon as I walked out of the office :-)

I haven't been back for ten years but your film has whetted my appetite.

That was such a nice slice of life and I like the music, too. Well done :)

Errrm, The music is from one of the first Ministry Of Sound chillout CD's from 2001-2002 I think. I've been looking for this CD online for like ever and can't find the track listing.

I'm glad you liked it guys.

Gary,
I have not been to The Cut for a while but will look out for the street market.
