The London Bombs
Walking on the way to Jury Service as the tubes were out I walk through Tavistock Sqaure to get to Westminster from Euston Station where I live 3 mins from. I walk past a number of buses and feel glad I don't need to get one as I can walk to get to where I need to go easily.
The 30 bus explodes 20 meters away as I'm walking thankfully away from the traffic and stream of people on foot. I am very lucky that debris does not comes my and I'm able to help a woman who was sitting downstairs on the bus into a nearby building and luckily she only has a few cuts to her leg.
I refuse to go to Jury Service, instead I go to work which is 10 mins walk and watch the other events unfold. It is very erie to see where I was standing on TV 30mins earlier.
